The 18-plus islands off the coast of Guinea-Bissau make up the Bijagos Archipelago, a Biosphere Reserve. The main physical characteristics of Guinea-Bissau are its meandering rivers and wide estuaries, where it is difficult to distinguish mud, mangrove and water from solid land. |
