Cities [ Deutsch Dansk Español Français Italiano Dutch Português ]

This part of the web site provides high spatial resolution imagery acquired over the major cities of Europe by Earth Observation satellites. It aims to stimulate students and teachers to look at imagery, find their home town and maybe even their school. Schools are invited to work with this data by following the suggestions contained in the web site's Projects area. The Case Studies section below can provide further guidance and inspiration.

 Resources
Image Gallery You can select images derived from various sensors with different wavelengths/bands (visible, infrared, microwave) and spatial resolution (ranging from 30 m to 1m pixel size - in some cases). Images can be then displayed for visual comparison and also downloaded.  [ Deutsch Dansk Español Français Italiano Dutch Português ]
 Projects
My hometown as seen from space  Complete a project based on satellite views of your home town or the area where your school is located or another area of interest. The objective is to produce an illustrated report for your teacher, your school or other schools or for submission to editors for publication. A copy could even be sent to us for inclusion on the web site!  [ Deutsch Dansk Español Français Italiano Dutch Português ]
